Everything sold here is made by ODAKA at the studio in south Tel Aviv, and sold by the studio directly. These are the terms of that sale, written plainly and kept short.

  1. Who you are buying from

ODAKA, a ceramics studio at 1 HaMeretz Street, south Tel Aviv, Israel 6653517, business number 307133124. You can reach a person at hello@odakahome.com.

  2. Prices

Every price is in US dollars and is the same wherever you order from. Shipping is added at checkout, worked out from your address. Prices can change, but never for an order already placed.

  3. Handmade means what it says

Each piece is cast, glazed and fired by hand from our own molds and our own glaze recipes. Two cups of the same model in the same glaze are not identical, and the one that arrives will differ a little from the photograph in color and surface. That is the nature of the thing rather than a fault. Screens differ too, and no photograph can promise the exact shade of a fired glaze.

  4. Safe to use

Our glazes are our own recipes and contain no lead. The pieces are fired to 1200°C, and they are safe in the microwave, the dishwasher and the oven. Treat them gently anyway.

  5. Pre-order

Now and then we plan a firing of one glaze or one collection, in a limited number, on a date we know in advance. A pre-order holds one of those pieces for you before it is made, and its page says when we expect to make it and when it will ship. Everything else on the site is in stock.

  6. When we cannot fill an order

Rarely, the last piece is already sold or one breaks on its way out of the studio. If that happens we write to you the same week and refund in full, or make it again if you would rather wait.

  7. Returns, and a piece that arrives broken

You have 14 days to tell us and 14 more to send a piece back, and a piece that arrives broken is put right. The shipping page has both in full, and they are part of these terms.

  8. Cafes and shops

Wholesale is welcome and is not covered by these terms. Write to hello@odakahome.com and we will send the wholesale list.

  9. Our photographs and our designs

The photographs, the drawings and the cup designs on this site are ours. Please do not reuse them without asking.

  10. If something goes wrong

Tell us. A studio this size would rather solve a problem in an email than stand behind a paragraph. Israeli law governs these terms.
